Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026: Supporting Survivors Beyond Treatment

October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month—a time dedicated not only to raising awareness about breast cancer but also to celebrating resilience, honoring survivors, and strengthening support systems for those affected by the disease.
As part of activities marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026, the BRICON Whole Woman Foundation, in partnership with the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, will provide free mastectomy forms and bras to eligible breast cancer survivors. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to improving the quality of life of women who have undergone breast cancer treatment and supporting them on their journey toward recovery and renewed confidence.
Breast cancer awareness extends beyond early detection and treatment. It also involves ensuring that survivors receive the care, encouragement, and practical support they need to thrive after treatment. Through this outreach, women who have faced the challenges of breast cancer are reminded that they are seen, valued, and supported.
